Tuesday Shoesday

Cost: $215
Available Here

I have been meaning to post about these shoes for weeks now, but I am a lazy bum and haven't. They are a 100% hand painted using Acrylic paint on black faux suede. The shoe has also been finished with a layer of flexible matt varnish to durability. Even though the price is a little up there, okay a lot up there, they are one of a kind and you get to pick out the colors you want. And what is there not to like about space shoes! I am in love with them, if it wasn't for the price I would already be walking around with. Also, if you you have any artistic ability you might want to try making some yourself.

Tuesday Shoesday!

Bike Path Flat
Cost: $49.99
Available Here

Natural Crochet Canvas Split Body Flats
Cost: $49.50
Available Here

I am keeping it simple with today's post for 'Tuesday Shoesday' post. It is spring time and summer will be here before you know, much to my dismay.  I have picked two pairs of flats to feature today, they are both a light cream/beige color. As simple as they may be each have an interesting aspect to make them stand out, for instance the 'Bike Path Flats' have the bow detailing as well as the dots punched into the top material. As for the 'Natural Crochet Canvas Split Body Flats' other than having an extremely long name is crochet, which just reminds me of the 70s and of Rebecca De Mornay character in "Lords of Dog Town" as Jay's mom. Both would be perfect to wear at the beach or having a nice picnic at the park. Looking at them now I truly hate the fact that I am stuck in doors working.

Tuesday Shoesday!

Lanvin 'Puzzle' Peep Toe Wedge Pump
Cost $1,280
Available Here

What draws your attention to these shoes is the wood detailing of the wedge. I for one am a sucker for any shoe that has a wooden heel. Not sure why, but it might be the sturdy appearance they give off or the natural element incorporated into them. Whatever the reason I have been tempted to buy many shoes because of this. The 'Puzzle' wedge is a nice mix of patent leather and wood and ribbon; as well as the color contrast. I find them to pleasing to the eye and a subtle, yet dramatic change from the norm.

*If you are able to afford these, I officially hate you.

Tuesday Shoesday!

Under $50:

Bamboo Juniper 69 Black Canvas Sandals
Cost: $24.00
Available Here

Personally, sandals are not for me, nor are flip-flops. I only own one pair of sandals, even those someone else purchased them for me. What I like about the Bamboo Juniper Sandals are that they have that slight wedge heel and the rope detailing. Reminds me of what a pin-up sailor woman would wear. These sandals are perfect for going to the beach and wearing with your high waisted shorts.

Over $50:

Jeffrey Campbell Turino Pink Gold Zipper Suede Wedge Booties
Cost: $227.00
Available Here

These little booties will catch everyone's attention from a mile away. The pink suede looks so soft and yummy, reminds me of bubble gum and cotton candy.  Pink is not my color of choice, but this shade of pink goes so nicely with the copper/gold color of the zipper action on the heel.  I love it when designers incorporate zippers into their designs other than the obvious particle reason. Zippers add more interest to an item and shows the creative of the designer.

The Kapoo! Boot
Cost: $218.99
Available Here

These boots scream kick-ass! They remind me of something of what Wonder Woman would wear in the 1920's.  The color is fabulous and the detail of buttons! I cannot handle how amazing these boots are. They will be in my dreams for a few weeks. I can see it now me in the Wonder Woman get-up making Super Girl envious of my fashion forward Super Hero Suit.

Floral Dr. Martens
Cost: $120.00
Available Here

Ever since I saw Liv Tyler in Empire Record I have been wanting to get a pair of Dr. Martens. When I finally got the nerve to ask my mom for a pair she got me the silly little girl pair. Needless to say I was rather disappointed and refused to wear them for awhile, that is until my mom threaten to never get me anything ever again. As a kid I might not have been able to get the cool British boots and live out my dreams to work at a record store; but what is stopping me now? The floral Dr. Marten's are amazing the floral print adds a nice feminine touch to the tough, industrial boots, yet don't over power them and most importantly they don't look horrible.

Tuesday Shoesday!

Tanya:

I'm back from my small hiatus and ready to talk fashion. So much has happened since my last post and I promise not to disappoint.

Sam Edelman's Sawyer Oxford
Cost: $123.00
Avalible Here

My favorite type of shoes for the past year has been oxford. They are classic and go with almost any outfit. These Sam Edelman's Sawyer Oxfords are a good mix of oxford and heel.  Taylor Swift owns a pair in brown and black and they also come in grey.  They are on the pricey side, but a little secret I saw them at T.J. Maxx the other day fro $60, if you get lucky you may be able to find a pair in your size. I on  the other had was trying to squeeze my 7 size foot into a size 6, needless to say it didn't workout.

Tuesday Shoesday!

Tanya:
Marc by Marc Jacobs Buckle Leather Boots
Cost: $495
Available Here

When it gets cold all I want to do is walk around in boots all day and nice huge comfy coat. My pick for the week are this Marc by Marc Jacobs Buckle Leather Boots. Usually, I stay away from burgundy color things because it is the color of choice for my mom when she decorates. However, when Marc Jacobs uses these colors I can't help, but to love it and this burgundy leather and suede duo are heaven. The gold buckle detail add to the military look; perfect for conquering the rain.

Keith Haring by Nicholas Kirkwood Collection
Cost: TBA

I love when art world and the fashion world meet; both are amazing form of expression and fashion to me is art. My pick for the week hasn't even been released in stores yet, in the beginning of last month Nicholas Kirkwood gave a sneak peek to the world of his new collection.  The collection is pop art to the max using some of Keith Haring's most memorable pieces through out the shoes.  On of my favorites from the four that were previewed has to be the most simplest of all of them. I love this basic pump with the thick red heel that makes it stand out from other ordinary heels. I can't wait till February 2011when I can see the all 12 shoes that will make up the Keith Haring by Nicholas Kirkwood Collection!
